Medical Services
Two fully equipped operating suites to accommodate Cesarean deliveries and emergencies
Three separate nurseries serve the needs of healthy newborns and those with intermediate and special-care needs
- A Level II Plus nursery, affiliated with the Northwestern Perinatal Network, allows even greater capabilities to care for newborns needing ventilator support
- Perinatologists (specialists in high-risk pregnancies) are on site to consult with your physician if needed
- Neonatologists (specialists in sick or premature babies) are available 24 hours a day
- Pediatric Hospitalists (specialists in pediatrics from Children's Hospital of Wisconsin) are available 24 hours a day.
- NRP-certified maternity nurses specially trained in neonatal resuscitation available to attend every birth
- A Four-bay antepartum area accommodates expectant mothers who are not in labor but require hospitalization for observation or care
- A Private maternity visiting room allows parents to spend precious time with a premature or special-needs newborn who must remain in the hospital after the mother's release
- Bedrest Baskets
This basket includes helpful DVD's and information regarding setting up the home to accomodate the expectant mom on bedrest. Helpful tips are included along with a listing of some of the resources available. This basket is especially helpful for first-time expectant mom's unable to attend a Childbirth Education Class.
