Children and Teenage Center

Condell's Children and Teenage Center is dedicated to the care and treatment of children of all ages, focusing not only on your child's medical condition, but their emotional needs as well.

A colorful playroom, well-stocked with state-of-the-art Playstation equipment, along with a variety of current games, toys, puzzles, and books, allows our young patients to feel welcome and safe.

Amidst a warm, family-centered environment, our team of healthcare professionals at Condell's Children and Teenage Center offer families service excellence, compassion, and emotional support in the times of stress associated with childhood illnesses or injuries. The Children and Teenage Centers encourages parental participation in their child's care, extending parents an invitation to dine with their children and furnishing each patient room with comfortable in-room accommodations for parents wishing to remain overnight.

Staff in the Children and Teenage Center include registered nurses, patient care technicians, unit secretaries, and physicians with board certifications or board qualifications in pediatrics, family practice, internal medicine or pediatric specialties in cardiology, allergy, psychiatry or neurology. Equipped with an electronic child security system, the unit offers the latest medical innovations and sophisticated computer technology, providing staff immediate access to test results and allowing more time to be spent with your child.

Plans for 2003 include the implementation of a multi-team focused asthma education program for both inpatients and outpatients.

Whether your child or teenager is with us for a day, a week or more, you can count on only the best medical care and attention in a comfortable, warm and safe environment -- designed just for kids.

You Can Help: A Concern for the Young

The mission of Condell Health Care Foundation is to enhance the ability of Condell Medical Center to meet the healthcare needs of Lake County.

The Foundation's purpose is to generate funding that will be used to strengthen existing facilities and programs and to enhance medical technology.
