President and CEO
It is my privilege to serve as President and CEO of Condell Medical Center,
Libertyville, Illinois. Since joining Condell in February 2006, I am excited about
the commitment that I have witnessed on the part of our medical and nursing
staffs to provide the very best health care for our patients and their loved ones.
In the past, Condell was a small community hospital that served the general health needs for rural Lake County. But today, Lake County is a different place. It is no longer farm country but a burgeoning suburban community that is home to some of the largest, most successful corporations in America. Local maps of Lake County neighborhoods seem to change weekly with new housing developments. Our schools also reflect the rapid growth of our area.
Condell has also grown up with Lake County, expanding our services and our facility to meet the growing healthcare needs of the people we serve. In fact, we are by far the largest healthcare provider in the county. Centrally located, we offer complete cardiac care, including open heart surgery, and neurosurgery, advanced cancer care, and orthopedic surgery. We deliver more than 2,500 babies each year, and we operate the highest volume emergency trauma service in the county. But that is not enough.
The Condell that is emerging in Lake County is serious about our responsibility to the community. And, we are already taking the necessary steps to provide expanded facilities and a Level I trauma center in the future. We are also forging ahead with many other technological advances and expansions to our services. As we continue to grow, it is our vision that Condell will be known as one of the most advanced health systems in America with major tertiary programs that are nationally recognized for quality and service. But more importantly, in the days to come, you will see that we deliver on our commitment to put patients first and provide the best care possible.
